Our Story
On the banks of the mighty Murray River, our family has been caring for this land since 1976. What began as a quiet patch of river country has grown into something much more — a vineyard, a home, a calling.
In the early days, we planted vines with bare hands and big hopes. Every choice we made came from the same place: deep respect for the natural world. We worked with the land, not against it — trusting its rhythms, its wisdom, and its wildness.
By 1997, we were certified organic. In 2009, we embraced full biodynamics. It wasn’t the easy path — but it was the right one. The vines responded. So did the wildlife. Life returned to the soil, and our wines began to reflect something real.
Today, a new generation carries that vision forward — with muddy boots, curious minds, and the same belief that great wine starts long before the winery.

Our name comes from the bird that has always soared above us here — a quiet sentinel of the skies. You’ll often hear its call in the early morning or see it wheeling above the vines at dusk.
The whistling kite reminds us to stay present. To stay curious. To stay wild.
This vineyard is more than a place — it’s a living system. Worms, birds, bees, microbes, vines — all play their part. We treat our vineyard as an ecosystem, not a factory.
Our biodynamic practices nurture that balance — with composts, cover crops, lunar rhythms, and a whole lot of patience.
It’s not just about what we grow. It’s how we grow. And why.

The Land

The Wines
Our wines are unadulterated reflections of the land. Grown in living soil, fermented with wild yeasts, they speak with honesty and character. Some are playful. Some are brooding. All are uncompromising.

We work with classic and rare varietals -- from Shiraz and Viognier to Mencia, Montepulciano, Gros Manseng and Piedirosso- letting each season shape its own expressions.

Every bottle has its own story. You'll find yours in there somewhere too.
