2023 Biodynamic Mencia

Planted in 2015, this Spanish variety is well suited to our climate and we believe that our biodynamic farming practices allow the full expression of its appealing character.
 
Our 2023 Mencia has been handpicked, basket pressed and allowed to ferment using wild yeasts and minimal interbention.  This wine ahs deep garnet hues, with a light, fruity, floral bouque of violets, stewed plums and ripe summer berries.  This is followed by a wonderfully savoury, vibrant palate, with rich plum flavours, hints of white pepper and dark chocolate with a wonderful tannin length.
